Idea for this trip started when two friends over a phone conversation decided that enroute to India to meet parents will have a stop over in Barcelona. Both of us had this in our bucket list to visit this country and this was a great opprtunity to meet n spend some days together in a city which has so much history and art engraved in their pages.

Day 1 – 02 June 2019

Landed in Barcelona at 09:00 AM

Picked up pocket wifi from Wifivox (*****). $56 for 5 days of wifi during the move.

Driver Mr. Carlos from Barcelona Day Tours (*****) was waiting to pick up and drop off at our apartment which we reserved through Airbnb at Career De Sant Antoni Maria Claret, very close to Sagrada Familia.

Breakfast at cafe while waiting for apartment to be cleaned up. Had one of the best coffee and Spanish omelettes. Breakfast has a real variety with pastries, cakes, omelettes, juices and coffee on the menu. Its a really relaxing experience sitting in small cafes and enjoying the breakfast.

Checked into our apartment at Career De Sant Antoni Maria Claret, 139, Barcelona, Spain (*****) at 11:30 am. Thanks to courteous management company person who took care of early check in. Its a four bed room two full bath apartment which was really clean and enough space for 4 adults and 4 kids.

Did our first tour of hospital of Barcelona where Antoni Gaudi took his last breath. It was few hundred yards away from the apartment at the end of street. Fortunately that day it was open to public for free. This is the hospital which was dedicated to public of Barcelona and was architecturally a stunning monument.
